kinase activity and oncogenic transformation
• Other activating mutations:

V600K 7%-19% (in melanoma)

BRAF
V600D (0.1%), V600R (1%), V600M
(0.3%), L597 substitutions (0.5%), and K601E
(0.7%).
• Inactivating or "low-activity MT typically involve
substitutions at codon 594.
• Other BRAF aberrations include amplification and
fusions.
